A trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to *Ghost of Tsushima* was unveiled on Tuesday during Sony's State of Play. The new game, *Ghost of Yotei*, is set to release in 2025 exclusively for PS5.
The trailer introduces a new protagonist, Atsu, a presumed ronin donning her own Ghost mask as she navigates the wilds of northern Japan. Set in 1603, 300 years after the events of *Ghost of Tsushima*, the game takes place around Mount Yotei in the remote Ezo region (modern-day Hokkaido). Expect a stark contrast to Tsushima's organized samurai clans, with the new setting featuring vast grasslands, snowy tundras, and unpredictable threats.
Built specifically for PS5, *Ghost of Yotei* will feature stunning visuals, including expansive sight lines, star-filled skies, and auroras, as well as enhanced environmental effects. Sucker Punch also promises new gameplay mechanics, weapons, and improvements tailored to the game's new setting.
